OUR RICH HISTORY
Founded in Ottawa, Ontario in 1938 as a general insurance business by A. E. “Lon” Campbell, MOORE FINANCIAL is now a proud 3rd generation family owned and operated independent financial planning firm. In 1975, initially as a Life Insurance Agent, Michael D. Moore joined his father-in-law, Lon at what was then called, Campbell & Moore Insurance Brokers. When Lon passed away in 1983, Michael took over as President of Campbell & Moore Insurance Brokers. In 1994 after graduating from Bishop’s University, Jeremy D. Moore joined his father, Michael at the family firm.
When Michael sold the general insurance portion of the business in 1996, the company added Investment Planning to the practice and changed its name to the present day, MOORE FINANCIAL. Michael remained President of MOORE FINANCIAL until 2010 when he sold the business to Jeremy who now oversees the company as President and Financial Advisor. MOORE FINANCIAL is very proud of: its history, its well respected reputation, reliably serving its clients for 80+ years and its extremely rare achievement of becoming a 3rd generation family owned business.
